Editorial policy
Urban Athlete Journal aims to publish clear, useful writing about movement in city life. We distinguish general information and opinion from fact, check factual claims against suitable sources before publication, and revise material when a meaningful error comes to light. Readers can contact us through the Contact page with questions or corrections.
Accuracy and judgement
We review names, descriptions and factual claims for accuracy, and we avoid presenting impressions as settled fact. When a subject involves uncertainty or depends on an individual's circumstances, the writing should make that limitation clear. We do not offer professional medical, legal or financial advice, and our editorial content is not a substitute for advice suited to a reader's situation.
Corrections
If we identify a material error, we correct the affected text and make the change clear where appropriate. Readers may send a correction through the Contact page with the article title, the passage in question and any explanation that helps us review it. We consider correction requests carefully and do not promise to adopt every suggested change.
Independence and paid material
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a partnership. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A commercial relationship does not guarantee favourable coverage, and it does not give a partner control over unrelated editorial decisions.
Illustrations and AI
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are used as visual aids, not as evidence that a depicted event or place is real. We aim to ensure that imagery does not mislead readers about the nature of an article.
